In the Atlantic Monthly, Tom Wolfe once described America as "the freest, most open country in the world, encouraging one and all to compete pell-mell for any great goal that exists.” In this time of authoritarianism, it seems this idea is not working in any way. Reporting is about intellectual freedom. We're journalists who are looking to re-introduce a bit of wildness into a blog regardless of political tribalism.
